UPDATE: A more action oriented trailer #2 have been release!

UPDATE: Variety reports that the release date for JUPITER ASCENDING have been delayed from July 18th to February 6, 2015. The move is due to more time needed to finish the special effects for the film.

From the creators of ‘The Matrix’ trilogy, here is the new international trailer for THE WACHOWSKIS’ sci-fi epic JUPITER ASCENDING.

‘Jupiter Ascending’ stars CHANNING TATUM (G.I. Joe, 22 Jump Street), the beautiful MILA KUNIS (Book Of Eli, Ted), and SEAN BEAN (Equilibrium, Lord Of The Rings).

SYNOPSIS: Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

In a summer filled with sequels and blockbuster films based on books/novels, its nice to see an original idea being brought to the big screen. Even though their last two movies (Cloud Atlas, Speed Racer) were major flops, lets hope the Wachowskis still have some of that ‘Matrix’ magic in them to turn ‘Jupiter Ascending’ into a hit.

The film is set to ascend into theaters on July 18, 2014!
