Rebel Ridge star Aaron Pierre has officially been cast as John Stewart in DC’s Lanterns series.
From Chris Mundy (Ozark), Damon Lindelof (Watchmen) and comic book writer Tom King, the eight episodes series follows new recruit John Stewart (Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
Executive producer James Hawes (One Life) will also direct the first two episodes of Lanterns.
