UPDATE: New official images have emerged via ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY!

BEN AFFLECK described his interpretation of ‘Batman’ as being “at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it…He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it, but this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”

UPDATE: The OFFICIAL posters have been release!

UPDATE: The OFFICIAL teaser trailer is finally HERE! This definitely have a very DARK tone. ‘Batman’ looks amazing and BEN AFFLECK is bound to prove all the haters wrong.

Watching Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy, the one major complaint that I had was how horrible the fight scenes were filmed. Make no mistake, Nolan is a master storyteller and an excellent director, but it just seems like the action was not something he paid major attention to.

For example, in ‘Batman Begins’ you have Batman going through training and fighting against Ninjas (I repeat…NINJAS!!!!) and the most badass villain of all Ra’s Al Ghul. And what kind of fight scenes do we get? Super quick cuts and close-ups that result in the audience seeing absolutely nothing of what the hard working fight choreographers intended us to see. Its such a real shame and puts a huge dent in a trilogy that is ALMOST perfect.

Good thing GUILLERMO GRISPO (300, Sucker Punch, Man Of Steel), the fight choreographer of the upcoming BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, shares the same view and teases that the fights will be much more “technical” than Nolan’s films. Speaking to Spanish website LOS ANDES DIARIO, Grispo stated:

“Just imagine, it was like making dulce de leche (a similar thing to chocolate here in Argentina). Now Batman is going to fight the way I’ve always dreamed seeing him fight… he’s a character so prepared in martial arts that you can do a lot of things with him, but filmmakers usually don’t go all the way with it. Even in the last Nolan movies the action scenes aren’t very good from a technical, martial arts point of view to things like choreography, filming, bad camera movements…

But hey, don’t get me wrong, Nolan is great, my hats off to him. He makes fascinating stories, but I think that he did not pay too much attention to the fights. Those are the kind of details that Zack, being so physical himself, loves preparing. I think there’s going to be a big difference when you see these Batman fights in comparison to the previous ones.”

It is such a huge sign of relief to hear these words straight from the fight choreographer’s mouth. Looks like fans will finally get to see Batman throw it down on the big screen like how we all hope he would. Lets cross our fingers that they will also draw some inspiration from the ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ video game series. If they can translate the way Batman moves and take down his oppenents in this game to the big screen, there is nothing more any hardcore fans can ask for. See what I mean in a couple of game trailers below:

Director ZACK SNYDER’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ starring HENRY CAVILL, BEN AFFLECK, AMY ADAMS, JESSE EISENBERG, DIANE LANE, LAURENCE FISHBURNE, JEREMY IRONS, HOLLY HUNTER and GAL GADOT, is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2016!
