From director Rod Lurie (Straw Dogs) comes the wartime thriller The Outpost starring Orlando Bloom (Lord of The Rings) and Scott Eastwood (Pacific Rim Uprising).
Synopsis: Based on true events, in this military thriller, a small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year conflict.
The film is based on a best-selling book by CNN’s Jake Tapper. Eastwood plays Sgt. Clint Romesha alongside Bloom as First Lt. Benjamin Keating. They are joined by Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out), Jack Kesy (Blood Brother), Cory Hardrict (Battle: Los Angeles), Milo Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge), Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys For Life), Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects) and Jonathan Yunger (Rambo: Last Blood).
The Outpost hits theaters July 3rd.
