‘Train To Busan’ Director Planning New Project In The Style Of MR. VAMPIRE

Yeon Sang-ho, director of the 2016 South Korean zombie blockbuster Train To Busan and its upcoming sequel Peninsula, has told local media that he is planning a new film in the style of 1980s Chinese vampire movies.

At a recent promotional activity for Peninsula, Yeon mentioned that he has seen a lot of Chinese vampire movies lately and appreciates why those films became so popular throughout Asia. He specifically named the 1985 Hong Kong classic Mr. Vampire as an example and said that its unique combination of vampire movements and Chinese Kung Fu has left a very strong impression on him.

Yeon intends to be the screenwriter for the new project and is working with his production team to decide how to introduce new innovations into the film. His goal is for the creatures in it to be completely different from those seen in Train to Busan and Peninsula
