Director Gareth Evans assured fans that the extra shooting on the film that caused the delay will be well worth it.
“It’s had a profound effect on the film. It allowed me to better streamline it, and make it what it was always intended to be, which is a blistering, fast-paced action-thriller with nods to the Hong Kong cinema that I grew up watching,” Evans told Empire.
Havoc is set for release on Netflix in 2025.

Joining leading man Tom Hardy are veteran actors Forest Whitaker (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Timothy Olyphant (The Mandalorian), Justin Cornwell (The Umbrella Academy), Jessie Mei Li (Last Night in Soho), Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann (Wet Season), Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán (Narcos), martial arts star Sunny Pang (Headshot, The Night Comes For Us) and UFC star Michelle Waterson.

Best known for the action classic The Raid, director Gareth Evans (AMC’s Gangs of London) upcoming Netflix action thriller Havoc has found its leading man in Tom Hardy (Venom).
The film follows the events that unfold after “a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective (Hardy) must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city.”
Hardy will also serve as producer with Evans via his One More One Productions banner alongside Ed Talfan of Severn Screen and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ Films.
