UPDATE: Four more has joined the cast of Mortal Kombat 2 including Martyn Ford (Boyka: Undisputed) as Outworld emperor Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and Winter Soldier) as Edenian King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen (The Spy Who Never Dies) as Queen Sindel and Damon Herriman (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) as Netherrealm demon Quan Chi.

UPDATE: Actress Tati Gabrielle (Uncharted) has joined the cast of Mortal Kombat 2 as Jade. Jade is an assassin who is a friend and bodyguard to the character known as Princess Kitana.

New Line Cinema has officially green-lit a sequel to Mortal Kombat. Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight scribe Jeremy Slater has been hired to write the script for Mortal Kombat 2.
The first film was released last year simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max opening number one at the box office and ranking at the top of HBO Max’s most watched list.
Stars Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Mehcad Brooks, Ludi Lin, Chin Han and Tadanobu Asano are expected to return.
