Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first trailer for The Runner, a high-stakes thriller starring Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) that turns the streets of London into a relentless battleground of suspense, danger, and desperation.
Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland), The Runner follows a successful London attorney whose world is shattered when her young son is kidnapped. Forced into a terrifying game orchestrated by an unseen caller, Gadot’s character is given a series of increasingly dangerous instructions that send her racing across the city in a desperate bid to save her child. As the clock ticks down, she finds herself caught in a web of secrets, deception, and deadly threats where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.
Joining Gadot in the cast is Damian Lewis, with newcomer Kenton Lloyd Morgan also featuring in the thriller. The film marks another major action vehicle for Gadot, who has become one of Hollywood’s most recognizable action stars through projects such as Wonder Woman, Red Notice, and Heart of Stone.
The Runner is set to premiere on Prime Video September 2nd.
