Synopsis: When a terrorist group led by the villainous Jacob Pearce (Sean Harris) attacks a high-profile event, with the French Minister of Defence as their target, protection officer Vincent Taleb (Tewfik Jallab) finds himself working with street-smart MI6 operative Zara Taylor (Ritu Arya) to save the day. But when events take a dark turn, Vincent and Zara soon realize that the plan extends beyond just one politician. When they suspect that one of their colleagues in the security services is feeding information to Jacob, Vincent and Zara find themselves needing to rely only on each other. Increasingly isolated and with Jacob always one step ahead, can this unlikely pair stop Paris from falling to a man hell-bent on vengeance?

UPDATE: The first poster for Paris Has Fallen has been revealed by CANAL+!

As you can see from the poster, Mathieu Kassovitz is no longer the lead in the series. Kassovitz left the project back in October 2023 due to creative differences.

Actor Tewfik Jallab (Paradise Beach) has taken over the role of Vincent Taleb, a French Minister’s protection officer who is the target of a terrorist group. Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) will portray MI6 operative Zara. Taleb and Zara team up to keep the minister safe, but a wider conspiracy could put all of them in danger as Paris begins to fall.

The eight episodes series is set for release in France on CANAL+ September 23rd. No words yet on a North America release date.

The Has Fallen franchise is getting the television treatment with Paris Has Fallen. French actor Mathieu Kassovitz (Amelie) is set to star in the series with Gerard Butler (Angel Has Fallen) serving as producer via G-Base. Butler could also make a cameo as Mike Banning.

Kassovitz will star as Vincent, a protection officer to a French Minister, who is the target of a terror group led by villain Jacob. Vincent works with MI6 operative Zara to keep the politician safe, but they eventually unravel a wider plot, suspecting that a security service colleague is feeding information to Jacob, who is always a step ahead in his mission to bring down Paris.

Production on the 8 part series is set to start rolling on May 30th in London and Paris.
