Jason Statham Returns For The Beekeeper 2 Directed By Timo Tjahjanto. UPDATE: Pom Klementieff Joins Cast

UPDATE: Action fans, brace yourselves — The Beekeeper 2 is stacking its cast. Pom Klementieff (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning) and former wrestling star-turned-actor Adam Copeland (aka Edge) have officially joined Jason Statham in the upcoming sequel.

Statham returns as Adam Clay, the deadly assassin known as “The Beekeeper,” while the original’s supporting cast — including Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave — are set to reprise their roles.

No character details have been revealed yet for Klementieff or Copeland — the film’s plot remains under wraps — but expectations are high for explosive action and twisted alliances.

Miramax is reuniting with Jason Statham for The Beekeeper 2, a sequel to the 2024 action thriller that grossed $162.6 million globally. Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us, The Shadow Strays) will direct the film from a script by Kurt Wimmer, with production set to begin this fall.

The original movie, directed by David Ayer, followed a retired clandestine operative seeking revenge after a phishing scam devastates his kind-hearted landlady’s charity. While Ayer is currently working on The Heart of the Beast with Brad Pitt, the studio hopes to bring him back as a producer for the sequel.

Amazon/MGM Studios, which distributed the first film during a strike-impacted box office season, is in talks to handle domestic distribution for the follow-up.

Tjahjanto, known for his intense horror-action films like The Big Four and The Shadow Strays on Netflix, is also helming Nobody 2, starring Bob Odenkirk, Sharon Stone, and Connie Nielsen, set to hit theaters on August 15th via Universal.

Statham will produce The Beekeeper 2 through his Punch Palace Productions banner, alongside Chris Long of Long Shot Productions.
