Official Trailer For Gen V Season 2

July 25, 2025 — SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON — Fans packed the Gen V panel on Friday as Prime Video unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the hit The Boys spinoff. The upcoming season, which directly connects to the final chapter of The Boys, premieres with its first three episodes on September 17th, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Appearing on stage were cast members Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Hamish Linklater, and showrunner Michele Fazekas. The panel was moderated by The Boys franchise favorite P.J. Byrne.

A surprise video greeting kicked things off, featuring Chace Crawford as The Deep—Godolkin University alum and member of The Seven—who returns as a guest star in Gen V Season 2.

The newly released trailer offers a first look at the explosive new season, teasing returning fan-favorite characters, unexpected crossovers with The Boys, and new additions to the cast. Among them is Ethan Slater (Wicked), who joins in a recurring role as Thomas Godolkin, the university’s mysterious namesake. Slater’s performance in Wicked earned him a SAG nomination, and he previously received a Tony nod for SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway.

Sean Patrick Thomas (Till) has also been upped to series regular, reprising his role as Polarity.

Season 2 picks up as the country adjusts to life under Homelander’s rule. At Godolkin University, a new Dean—played by Hamish Linklater—promises to push students to unprecedented levels of power. Cate and Sam are hailed as campus heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to school still reeling from recent trauma. But with tensions rising between Supes and humans, the campus becomes a battleground. As the students uncover a decades-old secret tied to the founding of Godolkin University, they realize Marie may be at the center of it all.

Season Two of Gen V promises higher stakes, deeper conspiracies, and an even bloodier path to power.
