Dolph Lundgren Goes Full ‘Die Hard’ In Explosive Straight Shot Trailer

Action icon Dolph Lundgren (Hellfire) is back in familiar territory—guns blazing, enemies closing in, and a high-rise turned into a war zone—in the newly released trailer for Straight Shot, a throwback action thriller that leans hard into Die Hard-style chaos.

Directed by Gabriel Sabloff (Beckman), the film centers on a worn-down bodyguard played by David A.R. White (God’s Not Dead) who’s forced into one last brutal mission. His objective? Fight his way through a skyscraper overrun by heavily armed mercenaries to rescue his ex-fiancée—who’s been sealed inside a high-tech experimental coffin.

Yes, it’s as intense (and as gloriously ridiculous) as it sounds.

While White takes point as the reluctant hero, Lundgren joins a stacked supporting cast that includes Rachael Leigh Cook (She’s All That), Tyrese Gibson (Fast X), and William Forsythe (9 Windows), adding some serious genre credibility to the mix.

The trailer promises a relentless climb through floors packed with gunmen, echoing the DNA of classic one-man-army thrillers. Expect tight corridors, heavy firepower, and a ticking clock as the protagonist battles his way upward in a desperate rescue attempt.

Originally known as Ashland, Straight Shot embraces a stripped-down, high-concept premise: one man, one building, and impossible odds. It’s the kind of setup that lives or dies on execution—but if the trailer is anything to go by, fans of old-school action should feel right at home.

A release date has yet to be announced, but the film is being handled by Pinnacle Peak Pictures, with more details expected soon.
