A third installment of Top Gun is reportedly in development with franchise star Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) expected to return alongside Top Gun: Maverick (2022) co-stars Miles Teller and Glen Powell.
According to reports, Maverick co-writer Ehren Kruger is currently working on the script, with producers Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison involved, and Maverick director Joseph Kosinski expected to either direct or produce.
Nothing has been confirmed by Paramount Pictures, but it is expected that Top Gun 3 will be Cruise’s next project following Mission: Impossible 8.
