Reports via IMPACT ONLINE are saying that Thai superstar TONY JAA (Ong Bak) may be joining the cast of the upcoming KICKBOXER remake!

Jaa is supposedly signed on to play the role of ‘Master Xian’, the martial arts mentor who trains lead character ‘Kurt Sloan’ (to be played by newcomer ALAIN MOUSSI) to avenge his brother ‘David Sloan’ against villain ‘Tong Po’.

‘David Sloan’ will be played by UFC Champion GEORGES ST-PIERRE (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and WWE star DAVE BAUTISTA (Guardians Of The Galaxy) will take on the role of villain ‘Tong Po’.

The remake will be directed by Hong Kong star STEPHEN FUNG (Tai Chi Zero) with fight choreography handled by none other than LARNELL STOVALL (Undisputed 3, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning).

With such a veteran action crew plus the addition of Jaa to the mix, we can not help but get excited for this movie!

Jaa is definitely going all out since branching off into the international market with the recently wrapped Hollywood debut FAST & FURIOUS 7, a double dose team-up with DOLPH LUNGREN in A MAN WILL RISE and SKIN TRADE, SPL 2 with WU JING, and now this KICKBOXER remake. Look for Jaa to have a major year in 2015!
