The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005) where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen (Jumper) in the role of Darth Vader and Bonnie Piesse (The Vow) as Beru Lars.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow, director of two critically acclaimed episodes of The Mandalorian, Season 1.

Joining the cast are Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Joel Edgerton (Bright), Kumail Nanjiani (The Eternals), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Rupert Friend (Hitman: Agent 47), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Den of Thieves), Sung Kang (F9: The Fast Saga), Simone Kessell (Pine Gap) and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems).
