DC’s Shazam! sequel has found its villain in Charlie’s Angels star Lucy Liu (Kill Bill). Liu is set to play the villainess Kalypso, the sister of Hespera played by Helen Mirren (Red), both of which are daughters of the Greek god Atlas.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will see Zachary Levi return as superhero Shazam! along with Asher Angel as his teenage alter ego Billy Batson. Director David F. Sandberg is also back at the helm with a screenplay by Henry Gayden.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on June 2, 2023.
