Magnolia Pictures has nabbed the domestic rights to the South Korean espionage thriller Hunt starring Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game).

In addition to playing the lead, writing the script and producing the project, the film also marks Jung-jae’s directorial debut. Hunt takes place in the 1980s and follows two agents in Korean Central Intelligence who are tasked with hunting a spy within the agency and then learn of a grand plot to assassinate the South Korean president.

The film also stars Jung Woo-sung (Steel Rain), Jeon Hye-jin (The Merciless), Heo Sung-tae (The Age of Shadows), Ko Yoon-Jung (Alchemy of Souls) and Kim Jong-Soo (The Drug King).

Hunt is targeted for a U.S. December theatrical release.
