Warner Bros. is reportedly moving forward with the long overdue sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel starring Henry Cavill as Superman.

Man of Steel 2 is being produced by Charles Roven (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) and is currently in a search for writers. On top of Warner Bros. wishlist is Christopher McQuarrie, the man currently in charge of the Mission: Impossible franchise.

McQuarrie wrote and directed Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), which also starred Cavill.

No director has been named, but we are crossing our fingers that original helmer Zack Snyder is involved in some capacity. Here is a little reminder of how great Snyder’s Man of Steel was in the action department:
