Martial arts legend Jackie Chan (Ride On) is returning for the sequel to his 2005 action fantasy hit The Myth. Original director Stanley Tong (Vanguard) is also back, but only as the sequel’s screenwriter.
Chan has reportedly started filming The Myth 2 alongside actress Gülnezer Bextiyar aka Guli Nazha (Don’t Forget I Love You) in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
The film follows a “wild and brave princess from the Western regions of China” and a “brave and strong general”.
