A live-action adaptation of the hit 1990s animated series Gargoyles is officially in development for Disney+!
Gary Dauberman (Annabelle) has been hired to write, showrun, and executive produce the series alongside James Wan (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) via his Atomic Monster banner.
The original animated series follows gargoyle statues that were moved from a castle in Scotland to modern day New York. Once in the Big Apple, the statues awaken from a thousand-year-old spell and take on the mantle of protecting the city, becoming “stone by day, warriors by night.”
