Martial arts star Scott Adkins (Prisoner of War) just dropped a striking teaser for his next film, Bedlam — and it’s not your average throw-down. The actor shared his first look on Instagram, rocking long hair and 18th-century style, teasing a gritty, period-set action thriller.
Directed by Jon Shaikh (Our World War), the film is set in 1750s London and follows a bare-knuckle fighter who infiltrates the notorious Bedlam asylum to rescue his sister, wrongfully imprisoned by a powerful duke. Along the way, he’ll have to contend with legions of escaped patients turned deadly adversaries.
Behind the scenes, the film is already in production, and Adkins has offered glimpses of on-set atmosphere — including clips of him in costume and movement work with the crew.
Expect Bedlam to blend brutal fight choreography with a moody historical backdrop — a fresh direction for Adkins, who’s known for his modern martial-arts heavyweights.
