In a rather surprising announcement, Netflix’s The Witcher star Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) will be stepping down as Geralt of Rivia for Season 4. Stepping in to fill the role will be Liam Hemsworth (The Expendables 2).
This announcement comes in the wakes of Cavill’s official return as Superman in the DC Universe. Perhaps his commitment to reprise the role of the Man of Steel for the foreseeable future may have caused scheduling conflicts with The Witcher.
Cavill’s final outing as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher Season 3 will premiere on Netflix next summer.
