Action legend Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator: Dark Fate) is set to make his big screen return in the action thriller Breakout.
The Expendables 4 helmer Scott Waugh (Need for Speed) will direct from a script by Richard D’Ovidio (The Call), which is based on a story D’Ovidio co-created with Nicole D’Ovidio.
Schwarzenegger takes the role of Terry Reynolds. When his stepson is framed and sentenced to 25 years in a foreign country, Reynolds makes a daring jailbreak to save him and must overcome an overzealous prison warden in a race against time to avoid capture and flee the country.
Production starts rolling later this year in Eastern Europe.
