UPDATE: Snake Eyes (2021) star Henry Golding recently spoke with us to promote his new film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. We asked him about his potential return as Snake Eyes in the upcoming Transformers – G.I. Joe crossover movie.

“You know, I would love to (return). I have not heard a single bit of news apart from the announcement of course. Who knows what they’re going to do. I just know that they are going to hopefully create something awesome, hopefully create something that the fans love and do justice. I have yet to see what they decide,” said Golding. A Transformers – G.I. Joe crossover was hinted at in last years’ Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Now Paramount Pictures has officially confirmed the crossover movie at CinemaCon.

Steven Spielberg is executive producing the new film with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers franchise) returning along with Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy serving as producers.

No filmmaker is currently attached. Rise of the Beasts director Steven Caple Jr. may be in the runnings as he was the one who hitched the idea of the crossover.

With the last G.I. Joe film, Snake Eyes, being a major box office disappointment back in 2021, there is no confirmation yet if leading man Henry Golding will return to reprise his role as Snake Eyes in the crossover feature.

Stay tuned.
