Well Go USA has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to the Thai action thriller Bangkok Dog starring D.Y. Sao (Hanuman Shadow Master) and Martial Club member Brian Le (Everything Everywhere All at Once). The film marks the directorial debut of Chaya Supannarat and is executive produced by Prachya Pinkaew, who is best known for launching Tony Jaa into superstardom with Ong Bak (2003) and Tom Yum Goong (2005).

Bangkok Dog follows an American agent who is sent to Thailand on a dangerous undercover mission to take down a sadistic crime lord. His street smarts and fighting skills win over the local gangsters and he rises through the Bangkok underworld, but the closer he gets to cracking the case, the more he loses himself in the role.

The film also stars Thai veteran actors Byron Bishop (Only God Forgives), Sahajak Boonthanakit (The Beach) and model-actress Jenny Philomena Van Der Sluijs.

Well Go USA plans to release Bangkok Dog this October.
