Stuntman-turned-director James Bamford brings newcomer Shaina West (The Killer’s Game) to the forefront in Jade, a martial arts action thriller set to premiere exclusively on Digital on February 18th via Well Go USA.
Bamford, widely recognized for his stunt work in Watchmen and Blade: Trinity, as well as his directing contributions to DC series like Arrow and Superman and Lois, takes the helm of this high-energy project.
Joining West in the cast are veteran actors Mickey Rourke (The Expendables), Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3), and Katherine McNamara (Arrow), adding star power to the action-packed film.
Jade follows the story of its titular character, who vows to never pick up a gun again after the tragic accidental death of her brother. However, when she inadvertently gets caught in the crosshairs of a powerful businessman named Tork and her former gang leader—both desperate to retrieve a critical hard drive that could expose Interpol—she is forced to reconsider her vow. With the support of Reese, an old ally within Interpol, Jade must confront her past while protecting her newfound family.
The film features adrenaline-fueled action sequences choreographed by Daniel Joseph Rizzuto (Jiu Jitsu) and Tony Vittorioso (Man from Toronto), with additional fight choreography contributions from both West and Bamford.
