Keanu Reeves (John Wick: Chapter 4) is gearing up to dive into another high-concept action ride—with Deadpool director Tim Miller at the helm. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is in the final stages of acquiring Shiver, a new sci-fi thriller that pairs Reeves with Miller in a genre-twisting adventure.

The screenplay, penned by Ian Shorr (Infinite), is being described as a cross between Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows: a relentless, survival-style scenario (think time loop meets deep-sea peril). Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise) is on board to produce via his Marv Films banner along with Aaron Ryder (All of You).

While plot details remain deliberately vague, the buzz claims the story centers on a down-on-his-luck smuggler who gets ensnared in a massive double-cross aboard a dangerous Caribbean mission. Sharks, hostile mercenaries, and a time-loop shutting him in until he can break free? That’s the vibe.

Miller, who made waves with Deadpool, brings his visual edge and sci-fi chops to the project—while Reeves continues to expand his action-hero footprint in fresh, unexpected territory. With Warner’s backing, Shiver is shaping up to be a bold leap for both creator and star.
