Netflix is finally giving fans a deeper look at Book 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the newest trailer makes one thing crystal clear: Toph is about to steal the spotlight.

The latest footage for Season 2 of the live-action fantasy series throws viewers straight into the Earth Kingdom as Aang’s journey continues following the battle at the Northern Water Tribe. But while returning heroes like Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Uncle Iroh all get moments to shine, the trailer is heavily focused on the arrival of fan-favorite earthbender Toph Beifong, played by Miya Cech.

Netflix’s preview teases how the series will adapt Toph’s unique fighting style and blindness for live action, using distorted sound and vibration effects to simulate the way she senses the world around her. The footage also hints at larger-scale bending battles, lightning attacks from Azula, and a darker tone as the war with the Fire Nation escalates.

Season 2 adapts the beloved “Book Two: Earth” storyline from the original animated series, widely considered one of the franchise’s strongest arcs. Alongside introducing Toph, the new season is expected to explore deeper tensions between Aang and his friends while continuing Zuko’s emotional transformation. Netflix previously confirmed that the series was renewed for both Seasons 2 and 3, with the third season intended to conclude the story.

Netflix will premiere Season 2 on June 25th.
