Building on the current ‘John Wick’/’Atomic Blonde’ craze in Hollywood, another film in the same action category is on the horizon in PEPPERMINT. JENNIFER GARNER (TV’s Alias, Elektra) is set to star with ‘Taken’ director PIERRE MOREL (District B13) at the helm.

‘Peppermint’ is described as a ‘John Wick’-esque revenge thriller that follows a female protagonist as “her husband and daughter are gunned down in a drive-by, the heroine wakes up from a coma and spends years learning to become a lethal killing machine. On the 10th anniversary of her family’s death, she targets everyone she holds responsible, the gang that committed the act, the lawyers that got them off, and the corrupt cops that enabled the murderous incidents.”

Produced by TOM ROSENBERG and GARY LUCCHESI (Underworld franchise), the film will be distributed by STXfilms along with Lionsgate.

‘Peppermint’ opens in theaters September 7, 2018.
