The upcoming remake of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s classic KICKBOXER directed by STEPHEN FUNG (Tai Chi Zero), have landed LARNELL STOVALL to handle the action choreography. Stovall is no stranger to the genre having did the incredible choreography for ‘Undisputed 3’ and ‘Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning’.

Asked about how he felt about the original ‘Kickboxer’ in an interview with The Action Elite, Moussi said: “I’m a crazy fan of the original; I actually started practicing martial arts right after I watched Kickboxer and Bloodsport. Those were the years that I actually started training and I was a HUGE Jean-Claude Van Damme fan and still am. So I’ve been following his career since I was a kid so to actually be involved in a remake of Kickboxer is like a dream come true; it’s amazing.”

Judging by the cast and crew that is involved with this remake, everyone have experience with a great background in martial arts, so this film is definitely in good hands. Lets just hope and see if Moussi will try re-create JCVD’s awesome classic (and hilarious) bar fight/dancing scene.
