Superstar Will Smith (Aladdin, Gemini Man) is re-teaming with I Am Legend and I, Robot screenwriter Akiva Goldsman on the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Brilliance.

The film is an adaptation of the 2013 novel by author Marcus Sakey which tells the story of “a world in which one percent of the population has been born with special powers since 1980.” 

Smith will portray federal agent Nick Cooper, who’s mission is to monitor individuals with special gifts, known as Brilliants. Cooper himself has special powers with the ability to read body language so well that he can predict people’s moves.
