Best known for the martial arts actioners Headshot (2016) and The Night Comes for Us (2018), Indonesian filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto is set to team up with writer Umair Aleem (Kate) for a reboot of Steven Seagal’s 1992 box office hit Under Siege for Warner Bros.
The original film follows Casey Ryback, an ex-Navy Seal turned cook who was the only person who stops a group of terrorists from taking control of a U.S. battleship.
No words yet on who will step into the role of Ryback made famous by Seagal.
The project is planned for release on streaming service HBO Max.
