A sequel to the box office hit Plane (2023) has officially been green-lit. The film will be titled…wait for it…Ship.
Mike Colter (Luke Cage) is set return as Louis Gaspare in Ship, which sees director Jean-François Richet return as an executive producer.
The film will follow Gaspare escaping the Philippines on a fishing boat heading for South Africa. But once aboard, he realizes the ship is being used as a ferry for human trafficking, forcing him to team up with a member of the crew to take down the corrupt captain and free the people captive aboard.
There is no words yet on writers or directors for Ship or if Gerard Butler will return, but it’s expected to go into production in late 2023.
