UPDATE: Take a look at the official Trailer for Twisted Metal series below!

A live-action adaptation of the hit video game Twisted Metal is coming to Peacock TV.

Synopsis: Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

The series stars Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as John Doe,  Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto) as Quiet, Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man: No Way Home) as Agent Stone, Richard Cabral (Mayans M.C.) as Loud and wrestler Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth with Will Arnett (The Lego Batman Movie) providing his voice. Guest stars include Neve Campbell, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Chloe Fineman and Lou Beatty Jr.

Twisted Metal premieres on Peacock TV July 27th.
