Denzel Washington (The Equalizer 3) is set to reteam with Equalizer franchise director Antoine Fuqua for Netflix’s untitled epic film about the ancient Carthaginian general Hannibal.
Hannibal is known for riding an elephant over the Alps and attacked Rome from the North, at the time posing the greatest threat to the republic. He was a skilled military tactician who led the troops in what is now Tunisia.
Written by John Logan (Gladiator), the film follow the battles that Hannibal led against the Roman Republic during the Second Punic War (218-201 B.C.).
