Action icon Steven Seagal (Under Siege) is making a long-awaited return to the silver screen after a six-year break. The upcoming film, Order of the Dragon, is a joint production between Croatia’s Dream Team Pictures and Germany’s Filmworkers, and is set to begin filming in Belgrade, Serbia, in mid-September 2025. The project will be helmed by acclaimed Croatian director and producer Vjekoslav Katusin (Wrongful Death).

Seagal will star alongside Ron Smoorenburg (Bangkok Dog), the Dutch martial artist and actor who first made his mark under Jackie Chan in 1997’s Who Am I? Known for his dynamic screen fighting and dedication to the craft, Smoorenburg brings a distinctive style to the film, shaped by years of experience with some of the industry’s top action stars and his own martial arts concept, Recharge.

The ensemble cast will also include Michael Paré (The Debt Collector), Michel Qissi (Kickboxer), and German model and actress Alona Hertha (Wrongful Death). Two additional top-tier martial arts stars will be announced soon, further boosting the film’s commitment to high-caliber action.

Order of the Dragon promises to blend the adrenaline-fueled spirit of classic 1980s and early 1990s action films with a fresh, modern edge—delivering a powerful comeback for Seagal and a thrilling new chapter for martial arts cinema.
