From Japanese director Sion Sono (Tag) comes the post-apocalyptic action thriller Prisoners of the Ghostland starring Nicolas Cage (Face/Off, Jiujitsu) and Tak Sakaguchi (Versus, Re:Born).
The film follows “a notorious criminal, Hero (Cage), is sent to rescue an abducted girl who has disappeared into a dark supernatural universe, they must break the evil curse that binds them and escape the mysterious revenants that rule the Ghostland.”
Joining Cage and Takaguchi to round out the cast is Sofia Boutella (Kingsman, The Mummy), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects).
Distributed by XYZ Films (The Raid, Jailbreak), the film is set to start principal photography this month in Japan.
